中 (pronounced zhong), is a conceptual dive into my identity, heritage, and culture. My parents are immigrants from China who came to the United States in the hopes of living the American dream. My father was a farmer’s son and was raised with the traditions of the Chinese countryside, and my mother was raised in the numbing winters of northern China.

中 is a reflection of the intricacies within a heritage often misunderstood or mystified in the West and is my expression of a side to my identity few of my peers know.
